The work

My approach is relational, neuroaffirming, and rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I don't believe in "fixing" you because I don't believe you are broken.

Instead, we work together to understand the different parts of you — the parts that strive, the parts that protect, and the parts that hurt. By building a relationship with these internal parts, we can unburden the pain they carry and help you lead from a place of calm and confidence.

The answer depends on what you're bringing in, your goals, and how the work unfolds. There is no set timeline for healing. Some clients find meaningful relief in a few months; others choose to engage in longer-term work to address deeper patterns.

We check in regularly on your goals and progress to make sure our work together continues to feel worthwhile to you.

Symptoms tend to change in frequency, duration, and intensity before they disappear entirely. You'll likely notice increased self-confidence, more access to your own steadiness, and a consistent softening of anxiety or depression over time.

Tell me. That conversation is part of the work, not a threat to it. We may need to adjust our approach, revisit our goals, or increase the frequency of sessions. If we're genuinely not making progress, I'll consult with colleagues and may suggest you see another therapist for a fresh perspective.

I take on clients I believe I can help, and I have an ethical obligation to refer those who aren't benefiting from our work together.

Yes. Both IFS and EMDR — the primary models I work from — include structured, evidence-based steps. I adapt them to fit each individual client rather than applying them rigidly, but there's real methodology underneath the work.

There are many effective therapy modalities — CBT, DBT, ACT, and others. I have training in several approaches, but IFS is my primary framework. If you're specifically looking for one of these other modalities as your main treatment approach, I may not be the right fit, and I'm happy to provide referrals to therapists who work that way.

Other kinds of support — psychiatry, medication evaluation, support groups, community mental health services, DV resources — can also be part of the picture. As a social worker, I think about you as a whole person in your environment, and I'm glad to connect you with additional resources when that's helpful.

Getting started

Before your first session, you'll receive a link to my client portal. You'll be asked to complete basic demographic information, a brief history, and your treatment goals. There may also be brief symptom checklists, which help us track progress over time.

Sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or biweekly recurring basis. Sessions run 45-55 minutes. Extended or more frequent sessions are available on a case-by-case basis when the work calls for it.

No. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I cannot prescribe medication. If I think a medication evaluation might be helpful, I'll provide referrals to prescribers and collaborate with them when you give consent to do so.

Privacy & payment

I am ethically and legally obligated to keep records of your treatment, which typically include a diagnosis, treatment plan, symptoms, interventions, safety concerns, and progress.

If you use a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, the information shared with your insurance company includes your diagnosis, date of service, and session length. Insurance plans may also request progress notes or treatment summaries.

There are legal limits to confidentiality. I am required to break confidentiality in the following situations:

  • If I believe you are in imminent danger of harming yourself or someone else
  • If I suspect abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult
  • If I am ordered by a court of law to release records

My fee is $220 per 45-55 minute session. I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.

I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept HSA/FSA cards and all major credit cards. See the rates page for full details including the cancellation policy.
